Aquifer "Storage" and "Recovery" Magic

The proposed legislation doesn't explain how the plumes of contaminated water injected into Florida's aquifer system (below) will be controlled. It must be by MAGIC ! Remediation of contaminated groundwater sites in Florida is far more difficult than the current attempts to restore the Everglades, and far more expensive than the money that ASR's proponents say it will save the Everglades' restoration program.

How was the aquifer in south Florida so severely depleted that Florida's Governor had to beg the President and EPA for permission to inject contaminated water into the aquifer? Perhaps you may want to express your concerns to Governor Bush and President Bush about this significant waste of Florida's precious groundwater resources, and the economic boondoggle of injecting contaminated water to replenish the aquifer.  Perhaps you may want to contact Erin Brockovich too. This case would be a snap for her!
